What do Griffins use to line their nests?
Victoria, BC, June 24, 2005 – Do creatures in popular media fascinate your children? A new game released today by Outset Media will expand their horizons.
Many kids will be amazed to discover that griffins, basilisks and phoenixes all existed before Harry Potter. “With Creatures of Myth & Legend, kids can discover some of the world’s most fascinating beings,” said David Manga, president of Outset Media. “Many children are captivated by the likes of unicorns and dragons. Now they can learn about other, lesser-known creatures and have fun at the same time.”
The game cards have creatures illustrated on the front and questions written on the back. There are two categories, easy and hard, so kids of all ages can play together.
A question on the Griffins card is, “What material do Griffins use to line their nests?” while a question on the Unicorn card is “Unicorns have the tail of what animal?”
This game is from the Professor Noggin’s card game series. Games in this series have won ten major awards, and media and award groups say the games are great for travel, too. Professor Noggin recommends her games for ages 7 and up.
