Prehistoric beasts unearthed in kids’ game
Victoria, BC, June 24, 2005 – Scientists make new discoveries about prehistoric animals every day. Now children can make their own discoveries about extinct beasts, with a new game released today by Outset Media.
Prehistoric Mammals takes children back in time to the world of Giant Beavers and Woolly Rhinos. “With Prehistoric Mammals, kids find out about fascinating fauna that once roamed the Earth and swam the seas,” said David Manga, president of Outset Media.
“Many kids are curious about these long-buried beasts. Our Prehistoric Mammals game is designed to be highly entertaining, but educational at the same time.”
The game cards have illustrations on the front and questions on the back. There are two categories, easy and hard, so kids of all ages can play together. A question on the Woolly Mammoth card is, “Were Woolly Mammoths the same as Mastodons?” and a question on the Extinction card is, “Have horses ever become extinct in North America?”
This game is from the Professor Noggin’s card game series. The games have won ten major awards, and media and award groups say the games are great for travel. Professor Noggin recommends her games for ages 7 and up.
