Professor Noggin’s Games Pick Up Another Major Award

Victoria, BC, March 30, 2006 – The kid-friendly Professor Noggin's Card Game Series has won a Learning Magazine Teacher’s Choice Award for the Family, creator Outset Media announced today. News of the award will be published in Learning Magazine’s April 2006 issue.

Professor Noggin’s Card Game Series, which currently has 26 knowledge games ranging from Ancient Civilizations to Wildlife of North America, now boasts awards from a dozen important awards groups.

"We are delighted that Professor Noggin’s games are being recognized and promoted by an internationally acclaimed group so committed to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of children's education, both in and out of school," said David Manga, president of Outset Media. The TCA for the Family is the only major award decided by teachers who are also parents.

Each Professor Noggin’s game is designed for children aged seven and up and combines short answer, true/false, and multiple choice questions using 30 professionally illustrated cards. Players collect cards by correctly answering questions at one of two levels of difficulty. Players make unusual discoveries while questioning each other on fascinating facts. A special three-numbered die creates interaction and promotes communication between players.

Professor Noggin’s games have won awards from leading organizations such as Parents’ Choice Foundation, NAPPA, Scholastic’s Instructor magazine, Dr. Toy, National Association for Gifted Children, and Canadian Toy Testing Council.

Outset Media creates, designs, and distributes board games, card games and puzzles that help develop healthy minds in children and provide healthy entertainment for families. For more information visit www.outsetmedia.com
